New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday informed that he will be addressing the nation at 6 PM the same day to share a special message with the citizens.

"Will be sharing a message with my fellow citizens at 6 pm this evening," PM Modi wrote in his tweet, urging citizens to tune in.

PM Modi did not reveal anything about the topic he may be speaking on during his address, but the speculations are that he may speak about the current coronavirus situation and upcoming festivals in the nation.

This will be PM's seventh address since he announced a complete lockdown in the nation in March. Since June, the nation has been exiting the restrictions in phases in order to reopen the economy.

The experts have said that with festivals and winter season approaching the things related to coronavirus are going to get complicated for the nation.

India's COVID-19 tally is close to 76 lakhs but for the first time in nearly three months, the country has recorded less than 50,000 new cases in a day. The health ministry reported 46,790 fresh cases in the last 24 hours, which takes the overall cases to 75,97,063.

The last time new Covid cases were below 50,000 was on July 23, when India recorded 45,720 new cases in a day.
