This is not the first time when Prime Minister Narendra Modi had gone on a spiritual visit after elections. In 2019, he had gone to Kedarnath and in 2014, he had paid a visit to Shivaji's Pratapgarh.

Earlier in the day, he performed the 'Surya Arghya' during sunrise at the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, according to officials. Prime Minister Modi engaged in 'Surya Arghya,' a ritual that involves offering salutations to the Almighty, represented by the sun. He poured a small amount of water from a traditional, beaker-like vessel into the sea as an offering (Arghya) and prayed using his prayer beads (Japa mala). Clad in saffron, PM Modi also paid floral tributes to a statue of Swami Vivekananda and walked around the mandapam with his 'japa mala' in hand.

Meanwhile, Exit poll results have predicted that BJP led NDA government is likely to get more than 350 seats in this elections. Final counting of votes will be done on June 4, 2024.
