Mumbai : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday extended well wishes for Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray on the occasion of his 60th birthday. Other political leaders also extended their greetings to him.

"Best wishes to Maharashtra CM Shri Uddhav Thackeray Ji on his birthday. I pray for Uddhav Ji's long and healthy life," Prime Minister Modi wrote on Twitter.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan wrote, "Wishing Good health and long life to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on his birthday".

Meanwhile, amid rising coronavirus cases in Maharashtra, which is leading the tally right now, CM Uddhav Thackeray had announced that he will not be celebrating his birthday this year. Making his birthday fruitful, he had asked his fans and supporters to donate the money and plasma on his birthday for the treatment of coronavirus patients across the state.

Uddhav Thackeray is the first member from his family to become the Chief Minister of the state. Thackeray is also leading a government of the Maha Vikas Aghadi, an alliance of Shiv Sena, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), and Congress.
