Poor family will get a house under the slum rehabilitation programme: JP Agarwal

New Delhi : As polling date is nearing in Delhi, Congress's Lok Sabha candidate Jai Prakash Agarwal has intensified his campaign. 

Congress's Lok Sabha candidate from Chandni Chowk Jai Prakash Agarwal on Wednesday morning visited various parts of Shalimar Bagh assembly seat where he met with people in Gotewala Park, AE Park, AG, BM, BO, Ram Park, Sheesh Mahal Park, BKBL Park, and Shiv Park. He urged the public to vote for the Congress party in the Lok Sabha elections. JP Agarwal also performed a Padyatra in JJ Colony and Lal Bagh area where a sea of supporters joined him. 

People greeted Mr JP Agarwal warmly and assured him of full to support in the election. As the polling date is approaching, Mr Agarwal has intensified his campaign, he's meeting with more and more people and listening to their views and discussing their issues.

During one such interaction, Jai Prakash said, "The voters must exercise their franchise on May 12. Every single vote is very important if you wish to remove the Modi government. The people have made up their mind to remove this jumblebaz and lying government. The traders are saying they are very sad because of the BJP government for implementing the GST, when we come back soon, we will solve the problems of the business class, so they are promising to vote for the Congress."

During his Padyatra, the four-time Congress MP said, "Looking at the people's attachment towards Congress during our campaigns, I have no doubt that the next government in the country will be led by the Congress party. I am very happy to see the positive response from the people of all sections." 

Mr Agarwal assured that under slum rehabilitation programme in Delhi, the Congress will provide a 500 sq ft area house to every poor Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Class family. The government will also fill all the backlog vacancies for the SC/ST and the OBCs after coming to power. 

During the campaigning, Mr Agarwal was welcomed with garlands by the people in whichever areas he traversed. He listened to their views and expectations from the government and discussed their issues. On this occasion, people were heard saying that no candidate has been so friendly with them like he is. He meets everyone with respect. It is not that JP only visits the people at the time of the election. He is always available for the people of his constituency. People convinced him that they will give their vote and also appeal to the others to only vote for him. 

Former corporator Nathu Nagar said during the campaigning, "People clearly remember whatever good work JP Agarwal has done so far, they need not be told. His dedication towards the people of Chandni Chowk speaks highly of him. And the public is going to reciprocate by voting for him in a big majority." 

During the Padyatra, former MLA Anil Bhardwaj, Harishankar Gupta, Prahlad Singh Sahni, Kunwar Karan Singh,Ex Councillor Nathu Nagar , Councillor Mukesh Goyal and senior Congress leaders Harikishan Jindal, Kamal Kant Sharma and Chaudhary Chatar Singh campaigned for JP Agarwal and sought votes for him.
