Pune girl, who plotted suicide attack on R Day, arrested in Kashmir
Srinagar : An 18-year-old girl from Pune has been arrested by Jammu and Kashmir Police; she was allegedly plotting a suicide attack on the Republic Day. Police also claimed that Sadia Anwar Shaikh has also links to Islamic State.
Her parents in Yerawada (Pune) have also been informed who had lodged a missing complaint about the girl.
As per reports, Sadia Anwar was a very bright student in her school with over 90 per cent marks in 10th standard. She wanted to become a doctor in furture.
However, the dreams shattered when she came in contact with some radical forces from the ISIS through social media. It has been learned that one of the ISIS member came in contact with her and promised medical studies in Syria.
They then brainwashed Sadia with the extremist views. The girl is currently under the custody of security agencies and is being interrogated.
