New Delhi : Congress leader Rahul Gandhi continued his attack on the government, specially targeting PM Narendra Modi, sharing a list of "Modi-made disasters" which have affected the nation.

Rahul Gandhi's attack picked up from where P Chidambaram left on Tuesday. He raised questions against FM Nirmala Sitharaman's comment – act of god. He had asked the government to not blame God for man-made disasters.

"India is reeling under Modi-made disasters: Historic GDP reduction -23.9%; Highest Unemployment in 45 years; 12 crore job loss; centre not paying states GST dues; globally highest COVID-19 daily cases, deaths; external aggression at our borders," the Lok Sabha MP from Kerala tweeted this morning.

P Chidambaram also shared a 2013 tweet from PM Modi, raising the same question he was asked when he was the Finance Minister of the country.

The government came under sharp attack after the data on GDP contraction be minus 23 per cent came.

The fall had been suggested by current Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman during a GST Council meeting last week; she'd said: "...This year we are facing an extraordinary situation. We are facing an act of God where we may even see a contraction".

Mr Gandhi had alleged that the government ignored warnings issued by the experts and landed the country in trouble.
