New Delhi : An 11-year-old boy from Chhattisgarh had fallen into a borewell 80 feet deep; after a lot of efforts, the boy has been rescued alive at about 11 pm on Tuesday.

The rescue team managed to reach Rahul at around 10:15 pm and they found him alive and breathing as they started the operation to take him out from the borewell.

Two ambulances were kept on standby to instantly provide him required medical assistance and shift him to the nearby hospital.

More than 150 officials were deployed to rescue the trapped boy with the help of robots.

It has been learned that Rahul had fallen into the borewell in the backyard of his residence in Pihrid village of Malkharoda development block while playing. A pipeline was installed into the borewell to provide him oxygen supply.

"With everyone’s prayers and the relentless, dedicated efforts of the rescue team, Rahul Sahu has been brought out safely. It is our wish that he recovers completely as soon as possible," the CM tweeted.
