Rajasthan may go for floor test next week: Report

Jaipur : A day after Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot held meeting with the state governor, the buzz is that the CM may call an assembly session next week to showcase his strength in the House, reported NDTV.

On Saturday, CM Ashok Gehlot held meeting with Governor Kalraj Mishra, hours after the meeting two MLAs extended support to Ashok Gehlot government. Though the Chief Minister called it courtesy meeting, sources suggest that he indicated to the Governor that he would like to call an assembly session next week.

Meanwhile, it has been also reported that the final call on the matter will be taken only after Tuesday when Supreme Court will announce its verdict on Sachin Pilot and camp disqualification notice.

The rebel camp had claimed that Sachin Pilot had 30 MLAs who were willing to walk with him if needed from the government in Rajasthan - a number enough to bring down the government of Mr Gehlot. But Mr Gehlot says he has 109 MLAs loyal to him.

Sachin Pilot has been sacked from his Deputy CM post after he spoke to Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. The Congress says he acted against the party by defying instructions to appear at two meetings that were chaired by Mr Gehlot.
