Rajendra Chintan Samiti pays tribute to India's first President Dr. Rajendra Prasad on his 137th Birth Anniversary
New Delhi : To honor the historic legacy of India’s first President Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Rajendra Chintan Samiti organized a program in his remembrance on Friday. Tributes poured in at the mural of Dr. Rajendra Prasad located at Talkatora Road, Parliament Annexe, New Delhi. It was jointly inaugurated by the former Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan and the NDMC Chairman Dharmendra by lighting the lamp and paying his floral tributes to Dr. Rajendra Babu. The former Chief Minister of Haryana Shri Bhupendra Singh Hooda also graced the event.
On this occasion, Dr. Harsh Vardhan said, "Dr. Rajendra Babu took part in the freedom struggle and nation is grateful to his exemplary contributions. He walked shoulder to shoulder with Gandhi Ji and Sardar Patel Ji in the freedom struggle."
Former Haryana CM Shri Bhupendra Singh Hooda said, "Rajendra Babu has a special contribution in the constitution making. He maintained political dignity which and sacrificed his life for nation building. We all pledge to follow his footsteps and remember him on his birth anniversary."
NDMC Chairman Dharmendra said, "Dr. Rajendra Prasad has set high standards of simplicity and morality. Today we can pay our true tribute to him by following the path shown by him."
The convener of Rajendra Chintan Samiti, Ram Krishna Sharma elaborated the work done by Dr. Rajendra Prasad and said that he was a great freedom fighter and a true patriot.
Vijay Shankar Chaturvedi, Vice Chairman, Rajendra Chintan Committee, said that Dr. Rajendra Prasad made the service of the country his life from the days of freedom struggle and he continued to follow that path for his whole life.
Rajendra Chintan Samiti Organizers Pankaj Sharma, Pulkit Chaturvedi, Educationist Manoj Sharma and hundreds of people paid homage to the statue of Rajendra Prasad.
Educationist Manoj Kumar Sharma said, “Dr. Rajendra Prasad, an icon of patriotism, has made an significant contribution to the Constitution of India. The dream of nation building of the country’s first President Rajendra Babu will always be remembered. We are hopeful that his ideals and ideas will guide the generations to come.”
