Republic Day 2019: Red Fort to remain closed for people till Jan 31

New Delhi : The Red Fort will remain closed for public till January 31 in view of the Republic Day function and Bharat Parv, an official release said. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Subhash Chandra Bose museum at Red Fort on Wednesday. 

As per directions of Archaeological Survey of India under the aegis of Ministry of Culture, the 17th century monument will re-open on January 31. On January 23, there will be a full dress rehearsal and will have the same route as that of the parade on Republic Day. The rehearsal will start at 9:50 AM from Vijay Chowk and will head to the Red Fort.
