Road Rage Incident: Shamita Shetty abused, driver slapped on Mumbai street

Mumbai : In a road rage incident, actress Shamita Shetty was verbally abused and her husband was thrashed near Viviane Mall in Thane, Mumbai. According to a report by the Times of India, the incident happened around 1:30 pm when a biker banged into his car.

The actress has registered an FIR against the biker and his accompanying friends at the Rabodi Police Station. According to the news report, the three men are yet to be identified. The details about the bike have been provided to the police by Shamita's driver - Darshan Sawant.

The driver also informed the police that he was mercilessly slapped and then threatened by the bike drivers.

A case has been registered under sections 279, 323, 504, 506, 427 and 34 of the Indian Penal code.

Shamita Shetty was currently seen on the show Khatron Ke Khiladi 9. The actress made her Bollywood debut with Mohabbatein. She was cast opposite Uday Chopra in the film. Shamita has also worked in films like Cash, Mohabbat Ho Gayi Hai Tumse and Zeher.
