Ryan case: Accused conductor Ashok Kumar gets bail

New Delhi : Gurgaon District Court on Tuesday granted bail to accused conductor Ashok Kumar in Pradyuman Thakur murder case with a Rs 50,000 security bond. He was arrested on September 8.

The court has ordered Ashok Kumar to cooperate with Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in investigation of the murder case. Despite bail from the court, the CBI has not given him a clean chit and has kept him under suspicion of his involvement in the murder case.

"Court has granted bail to Ashok on the basis of available evidence and documents submitted by CBI," said Pradyuman's father Barun Thakur.

The CBI on Monday told the court that by now they have not found any evidence against Ashok Kumar and the forensic department's DNA report also confirmed he had no involvement in the murder of seven-year-old Pradyuman.
