Ryan murder case: CBI takes over probe but father is not satisfied

Gurugram : With a delay of over two weeks and huge uproar, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has finally registered a FIR in the Ryan murder case. A class 3 student Pradyuman Thakur was dead with his throat slit in a washroom on September 8.

The CBI has registered the case eight days after the High Court had ordered Haryana Government for the same. The victim's father Varun Thakur registered his strong objection to a long delay in the sensitive matter.

"In such a sensitive case chances of destruction of evidences and manipulation of eyewitnesses are on the higher side, every day matters to us. Delayed by eight important days and overall 16 days after the crime seems to be part of big conspiracy by the Pintos," Thakur said.

He also speculated conspiracy to destroy evidences from the incident site. Mr Thakur has now appealed to the top leaders of the country to expedite the CBI inquiry into the sensitive matter. He also raised questions over why the CBI investigation was not started when even Haryana Government had sent a recommendation?

Mr Thakur said that he will move to Supreme Court if the CBI does not begin a formal investigation in the matter by Saturday.
