Ryan murder case: Suspended principal reappointed at Sector 40 branch as teacher

New Delhi : Neerja Batra, the principal suspended from Ryan International School after the brutal death of Class three student Pradyuman, has been reappointed at another branch of the same school; this time she will be serving as a teacher.

Eight-year-old Pradyuman Thakur was found murdered with his throat slit in a washroom of the school under Neeraj Batra's administration.

Reacting sharply to the development, Pradyuman Thakur's father said her appointment as teacher to another branch is "a risk to the security and safety of students."

"How can you reinstate the principal who failed to fulfill her responsibility? What is the meaning of suspension then," Thakur charged while speaking to news agency ANI.

"How can you expect her (Neerja Batra) to fulfill her responsibilities as a teacher? It's a risk to the security and safety of students."

The school was reopened on September 18 after the 10-day shutdown for investigation in the matter.
