New Delhi : In a major twist to Pradyuman Thakur murder case, a Class XI student from the same school has been detained by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officers on charges of alleged murder.

In the initial probe by CBI, it has been revealed that the Class XI student wanted to postpone the examination and parents-teachers meeting. However, the weapon of murder remains the same which was recovered by the Gurgaon Police during their first investigation.

So far in the investigation, CBI has found no involvement of the conductor in the case. However, the agency denied giving him a clean chit in the case.

No sexual assault theory during our probe: CBI

According to ANI, CBI rejected the angle of sexual assault in the case. The CBI will also demand custody of the juvenile accused in the case. An earlier report claimed that the doctor who conducted the autopsy in the case said that Pradyuman was not sexually assaulted.

"The second point that came out in the report is that the child died due to excessive bleeding. There was no sexual assault on the minor and no semen marks were found on his school dress," the report quoted Dr Deepak Mathur as saying.

Father cries foul over detainment of the Class XI student

Father of detained Class XI student said that his child is being framed in the case and this was not the first time CBI officers had taken his child for questioning.

According to a statement by the father, his son was the first kid to spot Pradyuman and this is why he is being framed and targeted.

Class 3 student Pradyuman Thakur was found dead in a washroom at Ryan International School with his throat slit.

The case was transferred to CBI after family members pressurised Haryana Government with raising demands of proper investigation in the case.
