Salman Hit-and-run case: Witness’ statement can’t be trusted, says HC

Mumbai : High Court on Wednesday raised questions over the credibility of witness’ statement

It said witness is not wholly reliable

Ruling will come soon in the case which alleges Salman Khan of killing a man sleeping on footpath

Lower Court had announced jail term of five years for Salman Khan

High Court said lower court made a mistake by admitting his statement

It also mentioned that Kamaal Khan should also be examined as he was present in the car during accident

Last month local court had dismissed plea of considering Kamaal Khan as the witness

On September 28, 2002, Salman’s car had crashed into five men sleeping outside an American Bakery in suburban Bandra.

One person had lost his life in the accident.
