Salman Khan may have to stay in jail till Monday: Read why

New Delhi : Bollywood actor Salman Khan may have to stay in Jodhpur Central Jail for some more time as it has been learned that the judge who is hearing his bail petition has been transferred.

District and Sessions Judge, Ravindra Joshi, who was supposed to hear actor’s bail plea at 10:30 AM on Saturday, was transferred by the Rajasthan High Court on Friday night.

Salman Khan had appealed for bail on Thursday evening instantly after Jodhpur High Court found him guilty in blackbuck poaching case and awarded him five years in prison.

On Friday, Sessions Court had reserved its order on Salman Khan's bail plea for Saturday.

The bail application has been filed on the grounds that why only Salman Khan has been convicted while other co-accused have been acquitted in the matter.

The Bollywood superstar was charged under Section 51 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act and others under Section 51 read with Section 149 (unlawful assembly) of the Indian Penal Code.
