New Delhi : In the early hours of Friday, a series of earthquakes struck Jaipur, sending tremors through the city and surrounding areas. The National Center for Seismology (NCS) reported that three earthquakes were felt within a span of just 30 minutes.

The most recent earthquake, measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale, occurred at approximately 4:25 am local time. According to the NCS, the quake struck at a depth of 10 kilometers, raising concerns among residents.

The NCS quickly took to social media to share vital information about the seismic events. They tweeted, "Earthquake of Magnitude:3.4, Occurred on 21-07-2023, 04:25:33 IST, Lat: 26.87 & Long: 75.69, Depth: 10 Km, Location: Jaipur, Rajasthan, India."

Shortly before this, at 4:22 am, another earthquake, measuring 3.1 in magnitude, shook the region. The NCS reported that it occurred at a depth of 5 kilometers.

"Earthquake of Magnitude:3.1, Occurred on 21-07-2023, 04:22:57 IST, Lat: 26.67 & Long: 75.70, Depth: 5 Km, Location: Jaipur, Rajasthan, India," the NCS tweeted.

The first quake in this unusual series struck at 4:09 am, also at a depth of 10 kilometers. This one measured 4.4 on the Richter scale, making it the most powerful of the three.

"Earthquake of Magnitude:4.4, Occurred on 21-07-2023, 04:09:38 IST, Lat: 26.88 & Long: 75.70, Depth: 10 Km, Location: Jaipur, Rajasthan, India," the NCS informed the public.

By the time this report was being prepared, there were no reports of casualties or significant damages. Authorities and emergency services have been put on alert as they are closely monitoring the situation to ensure the safety and well-being of all residents in the affected areas.

Reacting to the tremors, former Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Vasundhara Raje, took to Twitter to express her concern. She tweeted, "Earthquake tremors have been felt at other places in the state, including Jaipur. I hope you all are safe!"
