Sole aim of Budget 2024-25 is to strengthen monopoly of big businesses, says Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi : Congress MP and leader of Opposition, Rahul Gandhi, spoke over the Union Budget 2024 in Lok Sabha, saying that the sole aim seems to be “strengthening big businesses’ monopoly”. The Budget session, which began on July 22, will conclude on August 12.

In Rajya Sabha, a brief discussion was held over the death of students at a coaching centre due to alleged negligence of authorities. Slamming the ramshackle state of coaching centres, Jagdeep Dhankar called them ‘no less than gas chambers’.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had presented Union Budget 2024-25 last week, in which she had announced incentives for tax saving by increasing the limit.

Mixed reactions have been coming over the budget announced by FM last week. Some people have been slamming her for not giving enough incentives to the salaried class.
