Spotted: Leopard on the empty roads of Telangana

New Delhi : A leopard has been spotted on an empty road of Telangana on May 14 amid nationwide coronavirus lockdown.

Indian Forest Service (IFS) Susanta Nanda shared a short video of the leopard on her Twitter handle.

In the video, the leopard can be seen first resting on the side of a road divider and then he starts running towards the tunnel. Excited locals, meanwhile, witnessed the sight from the terrace of their homes.

In the caption, the IFS officer mentioned that the people first thought that leopard is injured but later it was found that he was in perfect health.

"Leopard was relaxing after the new found freedom at Mailardevpally in the Ranga Reddy district of Telangana due to lockdown. Initially thought to be injured or ill. It was later found to be in perfect health," Susanta Nanda said in the caption of the post.

Soon after the post, the video has gone viral on the social media.

Ever since the lockdown has been enforced, the animals can be seen making their comfort walk to the streets of many cities. Last month, a Nilgai was spotted strolling across a street in Noida while Sambhar deer walked around a society in Uttarakhand. Peacocks danced on the streets in Mumbai as well.
