'Statue of Equality' is China-made, 'atmanirbhar bharat' vision compromised: Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi : Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has alleged that the recently-inaugurated 'Statue of Equality' in India is actually made by a China-based company.

He targeted PM Narendra Modi and BJP via raising questions on their 'atmanirbhar bharat' vision.

"Statue of Equality is Made in China. 'New India' is China-nirbhar?" the Wayanad MP tweeted. 

The Statue of Equality was inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi on February 5 (Saturday)

The giant statue of 11th-century Saint Sri Ramanujacharya has been made of pancha-loha. The grand statue has been made near the Hyderabad international airport at Shamshabad.
