Tamil Nadu: 15-year-old girl gangraped in bus, 4 suspects nabbed

Srinagar : Four suspects have been arrested for allegedly gangraping a 15-year-old girl in a private bus in Salem district, Tamil Nadu.

One of the accused has raped the girl on several occasions, said a police source. The whole incident came to light when the girl raised an alarm while three men were committing the heinous crime in bus.

Villagers came to her rescue and handed over the culprits to the police.

The accused have been identified as G Vijayan, 20, of Veeranam in the district, and his friends K Perumal, 22, of Sanyasikundu, S Manivannan, 31, of Sanyasikundu and P Murugan, 35, of Athikaripatty.

The incident happened when the girl was travelling in the bus plying between Salem and Naranampalayam.
