New Delhi : The US President Donald Trump on Monday addressed a mega event 'Namaste Trump' in Ahmedabad where he said that his country will be working with India in all possible manners to eradicate terrorism and terrorists.

While, he made an important announcement over the defence deal with India, he said that the US also enjoys good ties with Pakistan. "Our relationship with Pakistan is a very good one. Thanks to these efforts, we are beginning to see signs of big progress with Pakistan and we are hopeful for reduced tensions, greater stability and the future of harmony for all of the nations of South Asia,'' Trump said.

His comments were soon highlighted by the Pakistan media, despite the fact that he was saying it in way that his country is working in positive manner to end terrorism in Pakistan.

India would be looking forward for a more clear statement on this as the country stands with the idea that no bilateral agreement can take place in view of cross border terrorism.

Donald Trump's remark can be seen in accordance to the statements made by US officials ahead of his visit. It was claimed that he would try to mediate and reduce tensions between India and Pakistan; encouraging the two nations for bilateral dialogue.

While, the official maintained that the core idea of bilateral talks depends on the Pakistan's efforts to crack down terrorism.
