Three Kashmiri youth arrested for allegedly disrespecting National Anthem

Hyderabad : In Hyderabad, three Kashmiri youths have been arrested for allegedly disrespecting National Anthem as they did not stand while it was played ahead of a movie in a theatre.

On Saturday, the three youth had gone to Mantra mall for watching a film but did not stand up when the National Anthem was played before the film's screening.

The Police received a complaint on Sunday against them which mentions that they did not show respect by standing up, also made fun of other by laughing on the others in the theatre.

"On Sunday, we received a complaint that three youth did not stand, while the National Anthem was being played by the theatre management at the start of the film and they were also laughing while all the members were standing," Shiva Prasad, Sub Inspector of the Rajendra Nagar Police Station said.

The trio has been called to the police station for enquiry.
