Tribal Festival organized on Smt Draupadi Murmu becoming the First Tribal Woman President of India
New Delhi : One day event on Smt. Draupadi Murmu becoming President of India was organized by Mashal Social Welfare Society at NDMC Convention Hall, New Delhi (under Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India supported by TRIFED.
The Chief Guest and former Union Minister Shri Jual oram inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp and congratulated the entire tribal community on Smt Draupathi Murmu becoming the President.
The program was presided over by Mr. Mohan Baraik and the event was hosted by Mr. Alok Michyari.
These events were organized to protect, preserve and promote tribal identity, art and culture in general; and
to celebrate election of Smt. Draupadi Murmu as the President of India. Many tribal leaders participated in this program (Tribal Festival) organized at the NDMC Convention Centre, New Delhi.
Shri Arjun Munda, Minister of Tribal Affairs, also as a Chief Guest on this occasion, said, that this is beginning of a golden chapter in the history of India.
Another Chief Guest Shri Jual Oram, the Former Union Minister of Tribal Affairs said - "Smt. Draupadi, who hailing from a very ordinary tribal family of Odisha, became the 15th President President of our country.
The Chief Guests and all other distinguished guests attending the program were honoured in the traditional manner. Mementos were also given to them on this occasion.
