Two coaches of Ernakulam Express with 158 passengers catch fire; 1 dead

Vishakapatnam : Two coaches - B1 and M2 - of Tatanagar-Ernakulam Express with 158 passengers have been engulfed in fire at Yalamanchili, about 66 km from Vishakapatnam. 1 person has been reportedly killed in the incident.



According to reports, there were 82 passengers in one of the affected coaches and 76 in another when the train caught fire. Unfortunately, one person was found dead in B1 coach of the train.

The two damaged coaches were detached from the train, which proceeded towards Ernakulam. However, the Railways is making arrangements for the affected passengers to ensure they reach their destinations safely.

The forensic teams have also started their investigations to find out the cause behind fire.
