Unidentified men sexually assault German woman at Tamil Nadu beach

Chennai : In another shameful incident, a 38-year-old German woman tourist has been allegedly sexually assaulted by a group of men at Mamallapuram beach in Tamil Nadu.

The woman lodged her complaint at a police station, alleging that she was forcibly taken away by some men.

The incident took place when the victim was taking a stroll along the sea shore in the tourist town of Mamallapuram, said district police official.

Cops have detained some suspected men, while the woman has been taken to a hospital for medical examination. 

No culprit has been identified so far.
