New Delhi : When it comes to Uttar Pradesh, a surprise can hit you at the very unexpected time. Something like this happened in Hamirpur district recently, when a bride was seen slapping her groom twice on stage as he tried to put the garland on her. She was later seen walking away from the stage.

Some media reports claim that the girl was upset with the fact that the groom had arrived drunk on the marriage. She lost her cool and refused to marry such a man.

Later, the family intervened and convinced her to get married to the same man.
