UP: Brutality on differently abled kids, caretaker arrested after viral video
Lucknow : A shocking video from Uttar Pradesh has surfaced in showing a man mercilessly beating up a group of differently-abled children inside a government facility. The caretaker was arrested after the video went viral on the internet.
In the video, the man can be seen running inside a room, beating kids with a stick. As most children make for the door, wailing in pain, he unleashes fury on the remaining few. Later, he is shown chasing down a student around a bare room, whacking him with the stick.
A few seconds later, another man, identified as warden, appears in the video. He asks the man for a reason behind such brutality but makes no effort to stop him or shield the kid.
Dirty walls and stained, filthy floor tells a story of their own about how much care the kids are provided in the facility.
According to the police, the video was shot on March 18 at a facility in Etawah, where a camp was organised for differently-abled children under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan's accelerated learning programme.
The caretaker, Suraj Singh, has been arrested for brutal torture on the kids.
