Kanpur : The Uttar Pradesh Police has arrested Kshama Dubey and two others in Bikru village who are believed to be closely working with Vikas Dubey, the prime suspect of the policemen murder case.

The men involved in the shooting were hiding near her house when the shootout took place on Friday (July 3). 

On Monday, the administration had raised the bounty on Vikas' head to Rs 2.5 lakh from earlier Rs 1 lakh.

"The cash reward for the arrest of Vikas Dubey has been increased to Rs 2.50 lakh by UP Director General of Police HC Awasthy," Additional Director General Law and Order Prashant Kumar said on Monday.

Eight policemen, including a Deputy Superintendent of Police, were killed in a fierce battle with the gangsters when they marched to a village in Kanpur in the early hours of Friday to arrest Dubey.

Since the incident, the gangster has been missing. In the past too, he has been caught several times but he always manages to escape the conviction.
