Tripura : In a shocking incident, a Tripura Congress president was seen hurling slaps on a man inside the premises of police station for allegedly attacking his sister's convoy.
All India Congress Committee’s (AICC) president for Tripura, Pradyot Kishore Deb Burman, slapped a man inside Khowai police station in Tripura. The man was arrested for attacking convoy of Pragya Deb Burman, Tripura Congress candidate and Pradyot’s elder sister, sources told news agency ANI.

Earlier this month, the Congress unit has demanded an arrest of the Tripura Chief Minister claiming that he tried to brand hatred among people during his speeches.
There are two Lok Sabha seats in Tripura and elections are being held in two phases in the north-eastern state of India. The counting of the Lok Sabha elections will be held on May 23.
