"We have just paused our actions...": PM Narendra Modi's stern warning to Pakistan

New Delhi : In his first address to the nation following Operation Sindoor, Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared that military operations against Pakistan have only been temporarily suspended, and their future continuation will depend on Pakistan’s actions going forward. He said that during the course of the operation, Pakistan had appealed to India to halt its military response. Modi issued a stern warning, emphasizing that India would not tolerate any further aggression or acts of terrorism originating from its neighbour.
Referring to the recent Pahalgam attack, the Prime Minister described it as an especially brutal manifestation of terrorism. He expressed that the incident caused him deep personal anguish, highlighting the emotional toll it took on the country. Modi stressed that the perpetrators had now understood the price of attacking India's dignity—symbolized by his reference to the "sindoor" on the foreheads of Indian women. He asserted that this symbolism was not merely poetic but represented the spirit and resilience of the nation.
Operation Sindoor, he explained, was not just a codename but a demonstration of India’s decisive will. The Prime Minister underlined that the mission showcased the country’s ability to translate determination into effective action on the ground. He noted that over 100 notorious terrorists were eliminated in the Indian strike, sending a clear message to the world about India's zero-tolerance stance on terrorism. Modi concluded by reaffirming India’s commitment to national security and warned that the country would respond with strength if provoked again.
