New Delhi : A 21-year-old woman has been pushed off a building in Delhi after she resisted to rape. The accused is found to be her friend and has been taken into custody by Delhi Police.

The victim girl has been admitted to hospital and her condition is still critical.

The incident happened on Friday when the accused took the victim to a construction site and allegedly attempted rape.

According to the Times of India, the accused tore the victim’s clothes and when she resisted and started shouting, he thrashed her and pushed her off the fourth floor of the building. A local saw her falling and shouted for help. Her friends waiting in the autorickshaw rushed to the spot, where they found her lying in a pool of blood. The police also reportedly said that she hit cable wires before hitting the floor.

The police has charged accused under sections 307 (attempt to murder), 366 (kidnapping), 511(punishment for attempting to commit offences punishable with imprisonment for life or other imprisonment) and 376 (punishment for rape) of the Indian Penal Code.
