Chhattisgarh Governor Shekhar Dutt resigns from his post

• Shekhar Dutt has stepped down from his post
• The resignation came two days after Uttar Pradesh Governor BL Joshi submitted his papers following a request by the NDA government to some of them to demit office.
• Dutt had taken charge as the Governor in January 2010
• Union Home Secretary Anil Goswami had called some of the Governors appointed during UPA government's tenure to resign in the wake of change of government at the Centre.
