New Delhi : Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee concluded her poll campaign for Nandigram on Tuesday, she stood up from her wheelchair during the national anthem. The polls for Nandigram will be held on Thursday.

Tuesday was the last day for the campaign.

Interestingly, Mamata Banerjee got injured on the day she filed her nomination. She had been taking part in the campaigns on wheelchair and mostly referred her injury as nothing compared to what country has sustained under BJP’s rule.

"I have been injured in the head many times. I have been injured in the hips many times. I have overcome all those injuries. If I give in to my pain and lie down then BJP will cause pain for the people. I feel people's pain is more important than my pain," she has said.

This time Nandigram has become a prestige seat for Mamata Banerjee against Suvendu Adhikari.

On Tuesday, Mamata Banerjee and Union Home Minister Amit Shah held back-to-back roadshows in the area.

Amit Shah held roadshows in a section of the area. Two other leaders were delegated to take on the Chief Minister in the area - Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and superstar Mithun Chakraborty.
