CCTV footage exposes Hardik Patel's meeting with Rahul Gandhi
New Delhi : Hardik Patel recently rejected reports of him meeting the Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi; but a new CCTV footage has surfaced in where he can be seen coming out from Rahul Gandhi's room.
The CCTV footage, accessed by Zee News, shows Hardik Patel coming out from a room, Rahul Gandhi walks out from the same room too after few hours, indicating that the two apparently met.
However, on Monday, Hardik Patel clearly stated that he has not met Rahul Gandhi.
“I’m tired of saying I didn’t meet him. I don’t know why you all are hell bent on proving that I met him,” he said while speaking to Zee News.
He had said that while he was present at the Ummed Hotel on Monday, he did not meet Gandhi as is being reported.
“After the Congress’s invite, I reached the hotel on Sunday at 3 am. I met their Gujarat in-charge Ashok Gehlot. As it was too late, I decided to stay back at the hotel … But they ( Bharatiya Janata Party) got the CCTV camera clips leaked because everything here (in Gujarat) is their property,” Patel said.
Recently, at a rally, Hardik Patel had said, "Congress is a chor but the BJP is a mahachor. And to defeat a mahachor, if we have to support a chor, we will."
