Lalu Prasad begins 10th consecutive term as RJD President

Patna : Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) on Monday re-elected Lalu Prasad Yadav as President of the party. This is his 10 consecutive term on the post.

A formal announcement on this is likely to be made on November 20, the day when the party's newly constituted national executive is scheduled to meet.

RJD's national election officer Jagadanand Singh elected Lalu Prasad Yadav as the party president on Monday. Mr Prasad will be given a certificate of his election to the top party post on the day of the official announcement.

Prasad had filed his nomination for the RJD President before the RJD's chief returning officer, Jagdanand Singh, at the party's state headquarters here on Sunday.
