Dehradun : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday launched 900-km-long Char Dham yatra road project in Dehradun, saying it will ease travelling of devotees and also attract job opportunities for Uttarakhand youth.

While addressing a rally in Dehradun’s parade ground PM Modi said informed the whole project is estimated to have an investment of Rs 12000 crore.

He also slammed opposition leaders for claiming that people have issues with him and his techniques of working for the nation.

"You have overwhelmed me; I can see so many people and I am happy that women have joined this rally in large numbers," PM said. Here are 5 key takeaways from his speech:

1: The Char Dham project that will bring hassle free travel to the shrines will also bring employment opportunities for the people of Uttarakhand.

2: The Central government had taken an initiative to provide electricity to the villages and within 1000 days over 12000 villages have been electrified.

3: Over 5 crore people in India have been provided with the LPG connections.

4: Without naming Congress, he slammed the opposition by saying that our soldiers had been demanding OROP for past 40 years, his government took steps towards it.

5: Demonetisation killed fake notes, terrorism, human trafficking, drug mafia in one go after his announcement on November 8.
