PM Narendra Modi addressing rally in West Bengal

New Delhi : The campaign for Lok Sabha Election 2019 has already started and PM Narendra Modi has inaugurated the session by targeting West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee over the Citizenship Bill. On Friday, Modi addressed rallies in Thakurnagar and Durgapur and said "Didi's" government will be uprooted and asked her why she was scared of the "chowkidaar" if she had not done anything wrong.

"Didi (Mamata), why are you so scared of me if you have done nothing wrong, asks PM Modi.

He added, “The only reason that I am abused is because I work against black money and will not let them get away… Didi (Mamata), what are you scared of? You should remember, even I was made to sit 9 hours in Gujarat and the UPA government used the CBI. These people are so scared that they feel the tremors even if with the president of the BJP. Didi till what time will you be able to do this we will not let you get away.”

In the speech, PM Modi has mentioned about corruption and black money and said,"I assure you that this chowkidar has cleaned the nation of corruption and black money. Even members of the most influential family of this country are having to knock on court doors for evading taxes. Those who fled are being brought back one by one. Those who assembled in Kolkata had a frightened look on their faces because of this chowkidar. Those who were at each other's throats four years ago are now embracing each other.”

Also, he slammed Mamta Govt in West Bengal for pulling out of Ayushman Bharat. "‘Aayusham Bharat has emerged as the most beneficial scheme of the country but this anti-poor government has withdrawn itself from this. Shouldn't those who play with poor people's lives be punished?” asks PM Modi.

Coming to union budget 2019, Modi said. "What is 'Sabka Saath Sabka Vikaas' is evident in this (interim budget 2019), it has something for every section of society.”

“People who were earning less than Rs 5 lakh per year have been exempted from tax. Let me tell you that this is just the trailer as it was the interim budget and people will receive more benefits once we present the full budget,” says PM Modi.
