PM Modi to pitch for Nitish Kumar as CM in 12 Bihar rallies

New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been scheduled to hold at least a dozen of rallied in Bihar to campaign for the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance ahead of the October-November election. According to BJP, PM Modi will be addressing three rallies in a day and in one out of them CM Nitish Kumar will be sharing the stage.

The Prime Minister's first rally will be held in Sasaram on October 23, next Friday. He will also visit Gaya and Bhagalpur the same day. His last will be on November 3 in Araria.

BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis, who is overseeing the party's Bihar campaign, said on October 28 (the first day of voting), PM Modi would visit Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur and Patna.

Interestingly, this will be the first time when PM Narendra Modi will be campaigning for CM Nitish Kumar, the leader who had fearlessly opposed in 2013 the elevation of then Gujarat CM as face of PM candidate for BJP.

Even when the alliance was in place, Nitish Kumar never allowed PM Modi to campaign in Bihar in the 2005 and 2010 elections, apparently fearing it would backfire with Muslim voters.
