"Snatch his gun, kill him", words heard in UP mob attack on police video

New Delhi : A new mobile video of a UP mob attack on the police officers shows how people thrashed the cops amid chants like "snatch his gun, kil him, attack". 

The mob was allegedly attacking the cops in Uttar Pradesh over cow slaughter allegations. The killing of the police officer and a 20-year-old local seems linked in the video. It looks like inspector Subodh Kumar Singh may have been killed by mob in retaliation to police firing on an advancing, hostile mob, which allegedly resulted in one of the protesters getting shot.

In the video clip, Sumit can be seen walking with a wound in the chest and also not a bystander who got shot, as claimed earlier. He can be seen taking help of two men among the crowd running towards police on the field.

A constable can be seen aiming crowd with a gun, while crowd shouts "Snatch the guns. Maaro,maaro." 

In the final frames, the inspector can be seen lying on the ground apparently unconscious.

Later, according to what his driver has told the police, he was shot by the mob. The driver had bundled him into his SUV and was trying to take him to hospital when the mob caught up with the vehicle, cornered it in the field and shot the officer.
