1 killed in UP train accident (Lead)

Lucknow : A man was killed and six others were critically injured early on Tuesday in Uttar Pradesh' Mathura district after being hit by a train, police said.

The incident occurred at the Kosi Kalan railway station when the speeding Chhattisgarh Sampark Kranti express hit them."The passengers were trying to board the train from the off-side, when they were hit by Chhattisgarh Sampark Kranti Express," Railway Ministry Media Director Rajesh Dutt Bajpai said.All injured are men between the age group of 20-25 years. One belongs to Rithora, two are from Surwari and four from Nagariya in Mathura district.
