3 militants killed as army foils infiltration bid on LoC

Srinagar : Three militants were killed on Thursday in Keran sector of the Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir's Kupwara district where the army foiled an infiltration bid, Defence Ministry said.

Alert troops of the Jammu and Kashmir Rifles noticed suspicious movement on the LoC in Dat Gali area.

"The intruders were challenged after which a gun battle started. Three terrorists were killed. Their bodies lying close to the border fence have not been recovered yet," Ministry sources said. Searches are still on.
