Brazil's Ronaldo discharged from hospital after pneumonia treatment (Lead)
Ibiza (Spain) : Brazil legend Ronaldo Nazario de Lima was released on Tuesday from a hospital located in the Spanish island of Ibiza, four days after being admitted and diagnosed with pneumonia.
The former Barcelona, Real Madrid and Milan player was taken to a public hospital on Friday and was transferred to a private one upon his request, reports Efe.
"Hello everyone! I'm already home after a few days at the clinic. Thank u for your love and comments, and many thanks to the team of doctors and nurses. Thanks my love Celina Locks for being by my side. It's going to be an amazing season with tons of great football and surprises," Ronaldo tweeted.
According to Nuestra Senora del Rosario hospital, where he stayed in the intensive care unit, Ronaldo was discharged at 10.30 a.m. from a rear door to avoid the media.
