New Delhi : In a breather to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, a court on Monday discharged him and six others in a 2012 case of rioting outside then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's house.

Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Samar Vishal discharged Kejriwal and the others who were charged with rioting and unlawful assembly.

Police had alleged that on August 26, 2012 Kejriwal and others held a demonstration against coal block allocation.

Police used water canons and tear gas to disperse them after they damaged barricades and public property.
