Turin : Juventus' young winger Marko Pjaca has joined ACF Fiorentina on a season-long loan, with the Florence-based club having the option to buy the Croatian international for 20 million euros ($23.1 million) in the summer of 2019.

Fiorentina will pay two million euros ($2.3 million) during the 23-year-old's loan period which runs until June 30, 2019, Juventus said on Tuesday.

If Fiorentina purchase the player, however, Juventus will have the option of buying him back, according to Fiorentina's website.

After signing for Juventus in the summer of 2016 from Dinamo Zagreb, Pjaca went on to make 20 Bianconeri appearances in his debut season.

Zagreb-born Pjaca spent the second half of last season on loan at Bundesliga club Schalke 04, scoring two goals in nine appearances.

He was part of Croatia's squad which reached the 2018 FIFA World Cup final in Russia. He has 19 caps and one goal for his senior national side.
