Chandigarh : In order to ensure parity in salaries, allowances and other perks of all chairpersons and members of state commissions and other authorities, the Haryana government on Monday announced that those holding constitutional or statutory posts would be allowed salaries as admissible to the Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary.

All other allowances and perks must also be as admissible to the Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary to the government, a state spokesman said.

"It has been decided that in respect of all other constitutional or statutory commissions or authorities of Haryana where pay, allowances and perks are being drawn over and above those of the Chief Secretary or Principal Secretary, the same would be revised accordingly. The salaries of the current incumbents will be protected," the spokesman said.

However, the parity in salaries will be minus the pension drawn for previous service, if any.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has approved the proposal in this regard, the spokesman said.

The Haryana government had rationalised salaries and other allowances for legislators in the last Assembly session.
