Las Palmas (Spain) : Las Palmas presented newly-signed Spanish forward Rafa Mir on Tuesday, who said his main target is to fight to get the recently relegated club back into the First Division.

The 21-year-old joins Las Palmas on a one-season loan from English club Wolverhampton Wanderers, to which he signed from Valencia last season, reports Efe.

"I wanted to have minutes in an interesting project," Mir said, adding that Las Palmas is "a good place to continue growing as a footballer" after his stint in the Premier League.

"It was a big change, complicated, and even though I adapted well at the end, my idea was to come here," Mir said during the press conference.

Mir asserted that he is a "versatile" player, capable of adapting to any of the three attacking positions, both inside and out.

Las Palmas' technical secretary Toni Otero also praised Mir as a "very sought-after player in Spain."

Mir spent six seasons with Valencia, and according to Las Palmas' website "stood out as one of the top scorers in the UEFA Youth League in the 2015-2016 season."
