Mumbai : Indo-French actress Niharica Raizada is happy that the Supreme Court has axed the law against homosexuality and says she is proud of the Indian Constitution.

The Miss India UK 2010 and runner-up of Miss India Worldwide 2010 said: "I think today the most important emotion that binds us, that defines humanity, is love. And I am so proud of our Constitution that Section 377 in the Indian Penal Court has been struck down.

"I am very happy and proud that Supreme Court judges have given this verdict. Congratulations to India and to all the people who always had that right to love freely and love without any kind of restriction."

Raizada is granddaughter of celebrated musician O.P. Nayyar. And on Teachers Day, which was celebrated on Wednesday, she not only remembered her greatest teacher but his teachings as well.

Like O.P. Nayyar, Raizada wishes to create new dimension and revolutionary films on her own terms.

She said: "O.P. Nayyar is an inspiration. He believed in his music so much and he knew it would have that long lasting effect on people. He has always worked on his terms. I hope one day I can do revolutionary films in this country on my terms."

Raizada will be seen sharing screen space with Ajay Devgn, Madhuri Dixit and Anil Kapoor in forthcoming comic film "Total Dhamaal".
