Chandigarh : The Punjab government on Thursday launched a facility for online property transactions in the state to bring efficiency and transparency in the system.

Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh launched the 'PUDA 360', an e-properties module to facilitate online property transactions, here.

The facility is being provided by the Punjab Urban Planning and Development Authority (PUDA).

The Chief Minister said that the application would go a long way in providing seamless services to the people related to property matters.

"The online process would also make the e-auction more convenient and give a common platform to the promoters/builders/individuals for advertising their projects and properties online," Amarinder said on the occasion.

Besides improving the delivery of PUDA services, it would help check delays in sanction of building plans, issuance of No Objection Certificate, issuance of Conveyance Deed and Transfer of Property etc. All these services are currently offered offline, a Punjab government spokesperson said here.

The Chief Minister said the applicants would now get the option of submitting applications through online or offline systems.

"The facility would save precious time and money for the allottees," he added.

"Complete details like the nature of the property i.e. residential or commercial, plots or flats, area and location, name of the builder or owner, status of RERA registration would be uploaded on the module," Housing and Urban Development Minister Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa said.
